Formula Smiles is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the United States, under status 501 c3, by Colombian racecar driver Juan Pablo Montoya and his wife Connie Freydell, which aims to improve, through sports, the quality of life of Colombian children in vulnerable situations.

The Foundation focuses all of its efforts in sports, with the purpose of complementing the basic education these children are entitled to, in order to provide them with a well rounded upbringing and a more promising future. Through sports, children reinforce their classroom lessons; learn essential values that make them better persons, receive motivation to continue in school and learn how to make good use of their free time, staying off the streets where they find drugs and violence.

At Formula Smiles everybody works to create a more promising future for them, their families and for Colombia.

The adoption of a quality management system was a strategic decision made by the Foundation, as part of the purpose of identifying and fulfilling the needs and expectations of stakeholders (Beneficiaries, benefactors, strategic alliances and Foundation collaborators).

The system is based on a Quality Policy that reflects the organization’s commitment towards the fulfillment of the requirements and needs of beneficiaries and benefactors, established from specific quality objectives which provide specific direction to the purposes of the Formula Smiles

Foundation; all of the above with the acknowledgement and management certification by Bureau Veritas (BVQI).

Strengthening: Extending the coverage of our projects and generating the required alliances in order to complement the integral development of children in the education, technology, health and socioeconomic development fields.

Creation: Apply new projects that support the integral development of children:

Supporting existing programs that include our mission.
Creating new projects along with other organizations that benefit the same population in different fields of action.
Adapting our sports and recreation program for the handicapped victims of the armed conflict.
